Welcome to Montana HOBY!
Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership of Montana (Montana HOBY)’s Leadership Seminar is possible through the generosity of volunteers, community members, businesses, and service organizations who give of their time and resources to provide leadership programs to students across Montana. All programs are run by a local team of volunteers from the Corporate Board of Director and the Seminar Planning Committee who are committed to developing leadership opportunities for youth. We welcome your participation in our programs and invite you to join our community of HOBY volunteers and supporters. Here are some ways that you can be involved:
The Montana HOBY Corporate Board members meet quarterly to set the vision, policies, and goals for the program, raise funds, publicize HOBY and recruit volunteers. Other volunteers serve on the Leadership Seminar Planning Committee to implement the curriculum and coordinate the annual Seminars. Please contact us to discuss how your talents, skills, and passion can translate to volunteerism for HOBY.
In addition to financial support, the seminar relies on gift-in-kind donations to offset seminar expenses. Our greatest needs include snacks, meals, program books, t-shirts, printing, transportation, and postage. We can put everything to good use! Please let us know if you would like to make a contribution.
Montana HOBY conducts an annual 3-day leadership seminar for high school sophomores from throughout the state. The organization operates on a cash budget of approximately $25,000 to provide lodging, meals, field trips, activities, and seminar materials for HOBY participants. The majority of funds come from individuals, businesses, and service organizations who believe in the HOBY mission. Please consider including Montana HOBY in your annual giving. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
